Course Content

Unit 1: Recommended tools
An explanation of the tools that you will need in order to change the strings on the guitar. I will show you what I use and explain the function of each tool

unit 2: Let’s change strings. ( non floyd rose )
I will demonstrate how to change strings on a standard, non floyd rose guitar. Every guitar type has a different type of bridge. I will talk about what to look out for in order to make changing strings quick and hassle free.

unit 3: Let’s change strings ( floyd rose )
This is the other most common type of guitar you may need to change strings on. The floyd rose bridge, also known as the floating bridge guitar, is a bit more difficult to change. I will explain how to change strings, givee you inside tips and tricks so you don't have to go looking anywhere else.

unit 4: String buzz and the fix, the ” truss rod”.
One of the most popular issues when changing strings is string buzz. String buzz is that buzzing sound when you play your string and your guitar doesn't play the note clearly and this can be frustrating. I'll explain how to detect abnormal string buzz and explain what the truss rods function in this is. *note* trust rod adjustments should be handled by a proffesionalas you can damnage your guitar if you arent careful. I will be showing you what to look out for, but you truss rod adjustments are risky, so adjust at your own risk or better yet, take it to a guitar shop for evaluation.

unit 5 : When in doubt, take it to a guitar repairman.
